If you are looking for the ideal summer covering, look no further than a pure silk comforter. Natural silk is perfect for sleepers with high body heat and excessive perspiration. Natural silk is extremely light and very supple and constantly equalises temperatures. It is an ideal summer covering, excellent for waterbeds and perfect where lightweight is more important than warmth. 

The silk used for our comforters comes exclusively from Japan, China and India, from free range oak silk moths, using exclusively pure silk (not mulberry silk). Mulberry silk has more ‘serizin’, the natural glue which is around silk and can cause allergies.

Characteristics: Silk fabrics have a very high degree of heat retention capability because silk is a bad heat conductor. Degummed silk threads have a very high permeability to air, and silk absorbs perspiration well and quickly, but this moisture is quickly released, eg fast drying time. It is a 100% pure natural product, 100% bio-degradable, resistant to micro-organisms and absorbs moisture up to 40% of its own weight.
